Dragonflies Farm Trip04May2017

On Thursday the 4th of May 2017 we will be visiting Church Farm, Stanton Prior. We will be completing different wildlife workshops throughout the day. These workshops include learning about various habitats, life cycles and we will have the opportunity to go pond dipping. Children will be required to bring a packed lunch, wellington boots and warm clothes. We will leave school at 9:15 and will return in time for 3.10pm. It is important that your child comes to school on time on this day so that we have time to register them.

Polling Day - Years 3-6 children will need to be sent to school with a packed lunch.04May2017

@ Cotham Grove

Arrangements for Lunch on Polling Day - Thursday 4th May 2017 You may be aware that the school hall is being used as a polling station for the Bristol Mayoral and Local elections on Thursday 4th May 2017. As we know that closing the school for the day causes disruption to many families we will be remaining open with some adjustments to our normal activities. The major change will be that there will be no school dinners served for Years 3 to 6, and you are asked to provide your child with a packed lunch from home, as you would for a school trip. If the weather is good we will have a big picnic in the playground! If it isn’t, children will eat with supervision in the classrooms. If your child receives free school meals a packed lunch will be provided. Year 2 will be going to Elmgrove to have their school lunches, as they are entitled to Universal Free School Meals. On this day the Zebras Breakfast Club will be held in the library at Cotham Grove from 7.45 am. If your child is attending Zebras, please bring them to the main front office entrance on arrival. There will be no Fencing Club after school but French Club will still take place as normal. Thank you for your co-operation in providing your child with a packed lunch for the 4th May and I look forward to our picnic! Kate Patience School Business Manager
