At Colston's Primary School, we have three Golden rules which, we believe, will help and guide children in achieving the best possible outcomes for them whilst both at Colston's and throughout life. Through conversations with children and teachers, the following rules were agreed upon:
-Try Your Best
If children or whole classes are seen to be following these rules, they are rewarded with a golden ticket. Rewards or prizes are then given out by class teachers if a certain amount of golden tickets are obtained. Every week, in our celebration assembly, a child is given a golden certificate from each class to celebrate how they have shown a specific golden rule that week.
Please see below for 'The Colston's Code' poster produced by the children, a child's view on each golden rule and pictures of the children celebrating their golden tickets certificates.
I love to be kind as it makes other people smile which is nice.
(Sylvie, Year 2)
Being responsible is important because it shows you care about not just your stuff but everybody's things.
(Reuben, Year 5)
Try Your Best
If you don't try your best, then you might not fulfil your potential which would be a real shame.
(Maya, Year 6)
Well done to all our certificate winners, keep up the good work!
