Our Anniversary Festival is in full planning!
Festival activities and events are taking place in term 6 from 4th to 29th June culminating in a big 70th Anniversary Party on 30th June 2 til 6pm. Save the date!
There are lots of things planned in the run up to the party including an anniversary themed artsweek, the first ever Colston's Got Talent competition, continuing heritage and time capsule project work, and possible mural and drama projects relating to our 70th anniversary
A glittering programme for the stage is evolving, including a teachers band, performances from the children including a rendition of a 70th anniversary song currently in composition. A Drumming Circle is coming, the international choir will be singing, all the usual fun of the summer fair will be in full swing with lots of food and drink available including a smoothie bike courtesy of our school caterers ... and there will be BIRTHDAY CAKE candles and all! The children will be designing a birthday cake during the festival period and the final result will be unveiled at the party.
We're hoping to unveil the first stage of the playground developments and will be giving an update on where we have got with our anniversary playground appeal as well as hopefully showcasing a new school logo to accompany our new school name in September. Logo designs are currently in development by the children.
This is a just a quick teaser of some of the things to expect next term ... further details to revealed as the weeks go on ...
